Design China Beijing has been the first truly international design event in Beijing; for SEEDDESIGN, it is also the first time for us to face the local culture.

House-like check-in place shares the perspective of residential theme with SEED, turns to be the most popular spot on social community. Warmth and intimacy are always how the heart be fulfilled, we hope to share the ambience by designing the traffic flow elaborately.

When regarding Hercules and JOJO, they are two of the most iconic items of “thoughtful design”. Ideas came from movement of yo-yo, JOJO shows how a fixture could fit in various residential illumination by handily adjusting the height; Besides the multiple-axial twisting function, Hercules, as design featuring mechanical structures and being visually attractive as character in Greek mythology, he always shares the companion if only you need.

Spiral arrangement shows sophisticated group visual impact and also features different sizes of MOAI. Inspired by statues on Eastern Island, MOAI shares ambient glow bounces off the clear glass shade, creates a unique egg- shaped reflection.

For clear shade, MOAI could comfortably fit with diverse interior space without interfering arrangement. Second half of 2018 is no doubt a plenteous period for SEED, since size M and XL presented and MOAI family ’s gathered, none of the member absent ever since.

Classic series never miss crucial SEED moments: LING which provides lovely appearance and twin lamp type; MUMU, blend and bring the wooded ambience back home; and LALU+, who has always been toppest choice of dining area.

It was SEEDDESIGN first show up at Light+Building. Having look forward to let products speak for themselves, we bring all those which represent our 26 years of Seedology.

Actually LING offers a profound symbol of “ families “. Back in old times there were lots of metal fences with unique architectural embellishments, which usually became the household symbol of prestigious Taiwanese families. Designer Li Hui Lun cleverly combined the idea and modern language to make it sits between oriental and western style, like no specific explanation can define its beauty.

When it comes to interactive functions, it is something which has been rooted in SEED product souls. The PLANET and HERCULES demonstrate the essence of multi-parts structure design, which allow users to adjust from shade to lampbody, controlling luminance via touch dimmer. The JOJO, oldest design in SEED, with its intelligent up-and-down balance device it offers an interesting, handy lighting experience.

We also featured iconic CHINA ( LED version ), hot items such as DORA and MUMU to welcome everyone relax, indulging in poetic fantasy of SEED lightings.

Design Shanghai has been our yearly fair. In order to create more interaction with visitors and having them see through different perspectives, we used square holes on the wall as meaning of windows. Passing by SEED booth, people would have time to get prepared and more excited about what’s coming in front of them.

There were total in 27 collections on site, including coming-up and new launch products. The MOAI, designed by creative director Chen, Chao-Cheng, was the most welcomed during 4 days. Taking inspiration from the statues of Easter island, the MOAI provides an atmospheric, ambient glow as light moves through the sphere and bounces off the clear glass shade creating an unique egg-shaped reflection. First launched in last May, it soon became popular in Asian market. Two more sizes ( M/XL ) will be available in near months to enrich this intriguing design.

The APOLLO, also by Chen, Chao-Cheng, aims to bring features of sunlight into interior. It uses double reflection to enhance the quality of light. One might control luminance by touch-dimmer behind the lampshade.

Other newcomers like LING, by senior designer Li, Hui-Lun, provides wide selections of pendant and functional wall lamps. Spreading light out of two materials, glass and metal, the LING offers rich ambience from each shade yet still taking care of basic lighting needs. Extensive products like DORA wall, LALU+ LED version as well as LAITO Gentle wall and table lamps infuse the space vibrant energy.
