Carrying just a few sketches on hand, SEEDDESIGN was founded in 1991 by designer, Meiric. He was certain he had what it took to create an entire lighting line that would be superb in construction, striking in aesthetics, and pioneering in concept.
The first design UFO made its debut in Europe In 1992 and went viral. Its stream line base covers exclusive slim transformer performing a cutting-edge technology of halogen lamps.

Trailing 2 years behind, JOJO, inspired by the movement of YO-YO, a handy height adjustable pendant followed in its footsteps in 1994. With solid mechanics background, SEEDDESIGN desire challenging innovative patent devices to interact cleverly and meet various of user scenario. Two decades later with 2nd edition LED version “JOJO LED” was launched in 2017 which is still a hot item today in 21st century.
SEED has developed deep relationships with local communities and designers in the creation of stores at varies of cities. From Taipei to Shanghai, SEED’s approach to retail design and architecture is unique and respectful of culture and history, providing a relaxing environment for visitors to taste the ambient light, exploring more ideas about sense of life.

Desires to challenge every perception of texture and lighting, Seed’s product line covers various of materials no matter in mouth-blown glass, carbon fiber, silicone rubber or even concrete. Experimented for 2 years R&D exclusive formula, the world’s first concrete lamp CASTLE officially launched in 2008. Castle has been kept the solid concrete organic texture, yet giving a smooth touch as sea sand, demonstrating a ritual of purity and simplicity in its rustic imperfection.
