Gallery-like booth design revealed surprises throughout
Inspired by bubbles with a blown appearance which evokes feelings of having a second childhood, a cluster of PAOPAO reflected from the mirrors in contrast with the black wall, creating a visual illusion as endless extension in the darkness, like dreams flying high with jewelries’ gorgeous luster and organic shape. The high-quality light reflected through the layered translucent color on the glass top, which sets off the finesse of the glass shade and gives that fantastic glow inside in a specific way.
Embedded with LED CRI 98, R9>90, SQUARE highlighted the first-rate light capability restoring the plump red of the fresh apple underneath. Visitors were waving hands like saying hello to the fitting, actually they were trying its sensor functions of ‘color temperature tune’ and ‘ brightness dimmer’, SQUARE had come into focus interacting cleverly with users.
It has always been a challenge giving the fixtures flexibility, taking into account the possibility of wire twists while adjusting. Inspired by the childhood memory of railroad tracks, the designer took advantage of genuine brass to develop a wireless track as the lamp body that allows each luminaire to be movable.
Dawn’s pronunciation is the same as “egg” in Mandarin just like its organic, round and smooth shape. It is also a metaphor of the sunrise to elaborate the flexible beam angle and light direction adjustment, feeling like morning sun changes in seconds. The sign of numbers ‘42’ and ‘72’ embossed on the wall was saying this remarkable feature. Aiming to build the direct relationship between the object and people, the DAWN series combines superior lighting performance with pure practicality to deliver multi-functional results.
OLO Φ Table Lamp – Red Dot Winner 2021
‘I can’t find the light source, where is it?’ This was a common question when people saw the OLO at first sight. Following SEED’s introduction and display, people got to know how the adjustable hollow shade and the superior light cooperate and work, and find its intriguing way of delivering light that adapts to a variety of usage scenarios while thoughtfully bringing artistic aesthetics to life.
Awarded by Red Dot Design 2021, we are glad to have the comment “OLO Ø realises a coherent design following ergonomic aspects. Thus, this table lamp invites for frequent use.”

The Red Dot Award is an internationally renowned design competition, celebrated for selecting the best designs in various categories each year. We are thrilled to announce that our OLO Φ table lamp has won the esteemed Red Dot Award for Product Design in 2021, standing out among many respected candidates.
The OLO Φ table lamp, designed by Li, Hui-Lun, is inspired by geometric forms, offering a classic yet modern aesthetic. This award-winning lamp features superior glare-free LED lighting with a high color rendering index (CRI>90), ensuring excellent light quality. The light is evenly diffused through an adjustable hollow shade, which can rotate 290 degrees, making it adaptable to various usage scenarios while adding artistic aesthetics to any space.
The unique shape and innovation of the OLO Φ table lamp provide a new perspective and lighting experience. The challenge of integrating a sophisticated mechanical structure into its bulbless lampshade was met with great success. By building a direct relationship between the object and the user, the OLO Φ combines superior lighting performance with pure practicality, delivering multifunctional results.
Our success is a result of the collaborative efforts between our designer and R&D engineers, who always transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. The OLO Φ table lamp is a testament to this teamwork, resulting in a product that is both functional and visually appealing.

After a long wait from March to November, Design Shanghai finally came to a successful conclusion at the end of this uncertain year 2020.
2020 has been a tough year, the world has faced many unexpected challenges.
And yet, still, we keep on creating new designs of lights. Together we face the long night side by side, waiting for dawn breaking and the sunshine.
▲ APOLLO_Either a bright morning light or slanting afternoon sunshine, APOLLO stands as an exclusive sun that guards home and captures the daylights for you.
▲OLO Φ_ extended from OLO family, as known as its patented hollow rotary shade, the Saturn-like finely welded U-bend ring embraces the floating and flipping lamps in its arms that served us sufficient warm light as a soft aria.
▲ HUAN_Inspired by a unique, oriental, landscaping architecture_ Moon Gate. HUAN brilliantly combines Western geometric composition and the Eastern aesthetics of blank space, presents a gentle and comfortable moment, weaving the boutique-style for homes.
The unique interactive structure is one of the mouth-watering designs of the SEED luminaires that makes visitors WOW at the show every time.

Thanks to all guests who attended our launch party, and shared a wonderful afternoon with us in autumn 2020.
As the theme of the year, “UNKNOWN” suggests, we are groping in the unknown and trying to deal with various struggles in business, and the same goes for life.
The party began with opening remarks from the Meiric, the design director, who gave us a small talk sharing his experiences, insights and some interesting stories. How we stood firm in an unfriendly environment and how we turned the corner to keep going while facing many obstacles and odds. Just like his quote of “The Little Big Man” poem by Rabindranath Tagore, the courage of taking challenges has been gradually shaping who we are now, and that absolutely echoes the spirit of breaking through the framework of the unknown.
The next session, let’s get down to new designs and focus on the presentation today.

We are glad to share our joy with all of our friends that SEED just held a 2020 new launch party in the late autumn season, so much laughter and fun we had with local interior designers at that afternoon. Some of the new collections are ready to launch, while others will be completed soon in the coming year. We look forward to your feedback!
Our chief creative officer Meiric welcomed over a hundred of industry partners with his warm-hearted singing by the song “can’t help falling in love’’, showing how much passion and persistent he deeply has in Design.
Designer Li, Hui Lun creates a series of lighting in pursuit of an art with circle and square, a balance between the fixed and flexible.
SOL’s ring-like lampshade is finely affixed to a metallic copper balance bar, demonstrating the definition of understated luxury.
The mouth-blown glass looks a round tender mind steadily leaning on the square rigid frame, while their arms can be open inside-out of the box.
While saying goodbye, we prepared a special gift to all attendances; a kind of Taiwanese tea called “Honey Scented Black Tea” from the organic farm; the fragrant and sweet taste just like we gathered inspiration and tech efforts in a year then eventually released final designs in the end.
The final stop of our tour left a superb ending, we brought the moonlight into Design China Beijing celebrating the significant Chinese holiday “Moon Festival”.
Following the different attribute of each design, what beneath the light and shadow is full of fun and endless ingenuity, forming the ideas to unique performances.

Along with the energetic brand new design, SIRCLE is honored to had its debut on this stage. With the visual comfort it shines as the moonlight at night, come closer, you would find out the glass orb is rotatable in or out of the frames softly levitating in the air.
We appreciate all the visitors’ admiration and WOWs, it gives us more motivation to keep surprising the world with SEED’s workpiece. Let’s look forward to next amaze!

First step of SEED tour has always been Design Shanghai in March. This year, we returned with our new series and ideas continued from annual exhibit we held in the end of 2018.
Lighting fixtures play roles of connection between people and space. Contrast of black and white shares comparison of various arrangement. While black represents modernity, white gives off the refreshing vibe and shares totally different feeling.
Elements of square holes indicate windows, create different experience within the glance and peek. Possibilities are always beyond our imagination.
In keeping with the gist of our new series of fixture: have the lights become visual center of spaces, we enhance decorative feature and ask a breakthrough on chandelier. FUJI PF 12 represents this prospective while all the single illuminations are allowed to extend by hooks on ceiling. With an only electrical outlet, lights could be shared easily among different spaces.

Lighting fixtures should show not only in a necessary, practical way, it could also be a new choice of artsy acquisition. Arrange SOL pendants into a cluster, they happened to look alike planet floating on star tracks. With utility of LED strip, the light source seems to be impeccable with no visual conflict with stylish interior design.
Main series of circular pendant – OLO interacts ideation among modernity and tradition. Round table has been a classic object traced back to Chinese culture, contemporary look of copper and black blend a new view within the dinning space. Slice lightness from top of hollow circles also lights up the blind spot closed to the ceiling.
We share lightness by large fixtures, however, tiny lamps as HOODIE, MUSE, FIREFLY tend to be more personal and take place in private time. Ideation of SEED is concentrated in the series, such as metalize texture or concrete material, have always been iconic features of SEED for years.

Before celebrating for our 27th anniversary, we are delighted to announce the new page for SEEDDESIGN – the New Concept Store opens in Hsinchu, where is considered as Silicon Valley in Taiwan. As the center of technology and vigorous innovation, this city somehow shares an image with busy dizzy pace. But For SEED, we want to convey another sense of life. Located in a school zone with green landscape, the new store shares a gallery -like and unique tranquility with visitors.
Interior was designed by TID Award winner Indot Design team based in Taipei. Through the wide, clear window, mellow scene of community was seen along with natural brightness. Flexibility in spatial plans and lighting arrangements was obtained by the base of plain white, earthy and neutral colors.
We also reserve spacious space for large configurations such as FUJI P12, APOLLO, and also stay the smooth traffic flow. Besides from traditional retail store, artsy elements such as display frame create even more chances of interacting and idea generating.
The New Concept Store is freshly opened to both the public and designers. Take a breath and come and discover new image of SEEDDESIGN!

On 12th, October, it’s Seeddesign annual launch party, or reunion – the moment that we meet our designer friends and partners in field to share perspective news, sneak peek our yearly new items. It’s also our first time to open the door to the public—on weekend of 13th and 14th , by exhibition at SCCP in Taipei, our home city, we show our philosophy to the crowd: the light you take, is also the quality of your life.
Imagine how the space would be like when blending the ambience with elaborate shape of light. Related to the theme, I Jane Lo, lighting director who was invited to give a talk about her thoughts as the way to create lighting ambience and light sculpture. “Eastern aesthetics focuses on the appreciation of the dark—the shadows, the different shades of ink.” Says Ms. Lo. “Western art prefers the bright, the clean, the translucent.” Meiric, Seed Art Director and brand founder, shared his solid technical acknowledge by Key factors of Engineering: Tolerance and Stress Concentration. He also shared long-term observation from idea innovation toward practical thinking of light design. “Be open mind to every point of view,” says Meiric. “sharpening your pencil, know your subject and you won’t miss any golden opportunity.”
Showing know-how of lighting – Design Explosion of Hercules, or interacting with visitors by displays, it’s always our passion to connect to the world. Since beginning of brand building, we have paid particular attention to balance function and artful appearance on our item. From now on, it’s time to create new path with non-stop motivation and say Hi to everyone face to face.
