PAOPAO means bubbles in Mandarin, the designer intends to induce people’s bright childhood like kids’ big dreams flying high, trying to seize those beautiful moments when looking upon the blue sky.
Smooth organic shape
Seamlessly combining metal cap and spherical glass to perform its jewel-like luster and organic teardrop shape, the PAOPAO presents a lively rhythm of different materials butting up against each other to create this beautiful texture with dynamic aesthetic.
Dual visual effect
Treated by vacuum plating, the translucent color is layered on the surface of the glass top, which sets off the finesse of the glass shade and gives that fantastic glow inside in a specific way: Turn the lights off, the glowing luster reflects each other with a dazzling beauty; Turn the lights on, the smoky texture reveals the brightness in a mysterious hazy form.
Considerate light quality
In our designs the delicate light quality is the first factor that we take into account for better user experience. Embedded with CRI 95 LED, the surface treatment of glass has also had an instrumental effect, not just on aesthetic consideration with its jewel-like luster, but also how the lights are programmed in ensuring the sufficient brightness yet avoiding glare by narrowing down the beam angle to 58 degrees.

P1｜The resulting translucent shade emits a raindrop-like, ambient light, ideally installed either in single, or groups of two or three.
PL5｜Functional and distinguishably tasteful, linear suspension is a must have to harmonize the ambiance of your space.
PZ10｜Zigzag configuration presents the rectangular suspension a layering abundance with luxury touch, a symphony of light.
P12/ PC12｜Spiral-like (with a ring to enlarge the size) or irregular arrangement, the cluster pendant demonstrates countless compositions in a glamorous way.

“When I was a kid, me and my younger siblings used to visit my grandma in the next town by riding a sugar railways freight train. Unlike the modern trains, it ran not so fast that we could sneakily hop on where the train switched out the crew. I’d grasp the railing with one hand and feel the wind blowing across the fingers of another hand. That was the 1970s, my childhood and all those beautiful memories are connecting with that train, the journey, and the sweet treats given by my grandma when we were occasionally reunited”

Breaking the limits
It has always been a challenge giving the fixtures flexibility, taking into account the possibility of wire twists while adjusting. Inspired by the childhood memory of railroad tracks, the designer took advantage of genuine brass to develop a wireless track as the lamp body that allows each luminaire to be movable. The linear lamp body is made up of two brass tracks with 18 round holes spaced equally. Benefiting from brass’ excellent conductivity replacing the traditional wires, the track carries each spot to move with the holes and set exactly to suit your needs.
Change the position of lamp spots by simply screwing on and off.
*Comes with removable lamp spots as part of the standard configuration. MUST keep all the units on a track to avoid malfunction, maximum add 2 units by options.

Nourishing distinctive luster over time
The surface of brass would be gradually changed with various environments and users. That’s nature and we love the unique texture over time. You can periodically maintain the luster with Brass Polish or just leave the brass age gracefully, that’s an intimate relationship between people and daily objects.

Retro-inspired modern device
Bringing retro style into contemporary is challenging, but also rewarding. Just imagine how satisfied designers feel knowing that they succeeded in mixing earlier pieces of lighting with cutting-edge tech. Equipped with optic control, the light is dimmable with simple touchless gestures. The more freedom of use the lamp has, the more space you leave for the spontaneity of the user.
The TRAM brilliantly delivers a high-quality CRI 95 luminaire, restoring the original color to daily life. The stepped optical lens shrinks the beam angle to 58° avoiding glare offending eyes.
When hand off, the brightness will be locked and memorized.
• Fin-shaped heat sink module
The Aluminum heat sink has had an instrumental effect, not only on how the product performs by its high thermal dissipation ability prolonging the lifetime, but also the fin structure ideally integraled in this industrial design.

After a long wait from March to November, Design Shanghai finally came to a successful conclusion at the end of this uncertain year 2020.
2020 has been a tough year, the world has faced many unexpected challenges.
And yet, still, we keep on creating new designs of lights. Together we face the long night side by side, waiting for dawn breaking and the sunshine.
▲ APOLLO_Either a bright morning light or slanting afternoon sunshine, APOLLO stands as an exclusive sun that guards home and captures the daylights for you.
▲OLO Φ_ extended from OLO family, as known as its patented hollow rotary shade, the Saturn-like finely welded U-bend ring embraces the floating and flipping lamps in its arms that served us sufficient warm light as a soft aria.
▲ HUAN_Inspired by a unique, oriental, landscaping architecture_ Moon Gate. HUAN brilliantly combines Western geometric composition and the Eastern aesthetics of blank space, presents a gentle and comfortable moment, weaving the boutique-style for homes.
The unique interactive structure is one of the mouth-watering designs of the SEED luminaires that makes visitors WOW at the show every time.

Thanks to all guests who attended our launch party, and shared a wonderful afternoon with us in autumn 2020.
As the theme of the year, “UNKNOWN” suggests, we are groping in the unknown and trying to deal with various struggles in business, and the same goes for life.
The party began with opening remarks from the Meiric, the design director, who gave us a small talk sharing his experiences, insights and some interesting stories. How we stood firm in an unfriendly environment and how we turned the corner to keep going while facing many obstacles and odds. Just like his quote of “The Little Big Man” poem by Rabindranath Tagore, the courage of taking challenges has been gradually shaping who we are now, and that absolutely echoes the spirit of breaking through the framework of the unknown.
The next session, let’s get down to new designs and focus on the presentation today.

The world is unpredictable and changing. Stay faithful and positive amongst all the fear, the truly “Big Man” is how we react in tough times.
Coming along with night, when the body relaxes, the mind relaxes. Treasure the“Me time” no matter reading or meditation, a good bedside lamp can fit in so many different styles interiors for various of calming activities. Following are the tips and our recommendations guide you to choose the right one, sweet dream.
#Take the personal using habit into your consideration.
If you frequently read before sleep, a sufficient light would be absolutely needed to support, for example the rotatable lamp type allows to adjust the light direction to your object without interrupting your bedmate. (such as OLO, MUMU, LING…etc.) Or, if you used to phub your phone before bed, the dimmable light will help to deliver a slight brightness; Even better with glass shade more for atmosphere as the light is soften through the glass to the surrounding, exudes warmth and a feeling of security. (such as SIRCLE, DORA, JOJO LED)
#Proper position matters
Position the lamp at a height level between eyes and shoulders when sitting on the bed, no matter which lamp type like wall, pendant or table lamp, this is the proper height that offers sleepers the comfortable light preventing from glare.

SIRCLE

SIRCLE, a symbolization merged Square and Circle, inspired by the East aesthetic philosophy, the circular light ball just like a soft tender mind leaning on a sound substantial frame, chemically shaped a harmonious feature with its flexible body inside-out. Meanwhile, the fantastic performance of light through the opal mouth-blown glass, spreading the beauty of moonlight all over the space.
▲With a flexible “inside-out” design concept, the opal mouth-blown glasses appear to simply float at ease, with no restraints nor inhibitions.
MUMU
Designer Kuo, Keng Dian
Combining the coolness of metal and the warmth of wood, MUMU appears simple, peaceful yet detailed. The round angle of the edge balanced the sharpness of lines, and the 320° rotation is quite user friendly.
DORA
Designer Chang, Ting Ting/ Li, Hui Lun
Oh So Chic! One of the popular collections DORA since 2015, which was inspired by designer Ting’s childhood, who wanted to create a collection that was versatile, interactive, and fun! Dora is adorable as jewelry, being crystal and shine, either pendant or wall lamp will be a good fit for the bedside.

With an airy grace, LING provides ample lighting yet remains clean and seamless. A twin lamp with uplight and downlight allows it emits ambient and projecting light at the same time. The rotating design echoed the practical spirit, which is more than beautiful but thoughtful.

We start one day in bed, so as the end. Let the bedtime be a wonderful fleeting moment of our own, light up a unique bedside lamp to make a perfect ending to a long day.
Have you ever experienced eyes fatigue and blur after sitting under a pendant lamp for a while? This short symptom of glare is probably caused by improper use of lighting such as wrong hanging height, or poor lamp shade design which does not filter the extra light into our eyes.
The ideal height of hanging lightings
Most dining tables are 75-80 cm height. To prevent the eye discomfort of sitting by the table, the ideal height for hanging lamp is around 70-90 cm from the top of table to the bottom of lampshade, while a slight difference is allowed at user’s convenience and comfort.
For example, for families with small children can benefit more from hanging 70 cm due to their sight lower than adults; hanging over 90 cm is more suitable for tall family members to avoid head collisions during meals and other activities around table.
▲When the lamp hangs too high, the illuminance reduces which may be insufficient for reading.
Aesthetics concerns of spaces
Apart from the viewpoint of optics in practice, our aim in choosing a lamp is no doubt pursuing an enchanting home. A comprehensive study including the appearance of the lamp, environment of installation, or measures of the space is significant to users. Therefore, consulting with professionals like your interior, lighting designer or lighting shop will be a good choice when undertaking your lighting plan.
▲A petite light can be hanged closer to the table without stressing users below, which allows users to look into the details of the lamp easily while enjoying cheerful dinner.
▲Some people favor hanging the pendant lamps lower in order to extend the wire. It optimizes the visual proportion of a space, which looks higher and wider.
“Lighting” is the medium relieving us for home, while the dining table often plays a role in happy gatherings with your beloved. If you have no idea about how to decor your place with lights or struggle between the luminance and glare, take notes of the tips above and you will find a way out.
